vaex¶

vaex is the recomended tool for working with large dataframes. It can also be used for basic data visualization and generating parquet files.

Other¶

FTP Files by Proxy¶

Hardware inside the server room at UCR (e.g. lab VMs) can't access ftp servers because the firewall is stateless. As a result, we have to use a proxy that can be found here.

Syncing Files¶

aria2c can be used to sync a massive number of files (pun intended).
