Prerequisites: concurrent enrollment in WRIT 005L; WRIT 003 with a grade of S or better; special permission required to take WRIT 005 if students don’t receive an S in WRIT 003 after two attempts; OR Placement determined by the UCR Writing Placement Process (WPP) OR UWP Director approval
Description: Designed for multilingual, first-generation, or other students needing focused additional support honing academic communication skills. Advances student academic discourse skills through the combined frameworks of aural, oral, and written communications; process-based composition strategies; advanced reading comprehension strategies for a variety of subjects; and rhetorical grammar.
Credit: Graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC).
