Prerequisites: concurrent enrollment in WRIT 007L; WRIT 005 with a grade of S or better; special permission required to take WRIT 007 if students don?t receive an S in WRIT 005 before the final academic quarter in the UC Entry- Level Writing Requirement time limit or UWP Director approval; placement determined by the UCR Writing Placement Process (WPP)
Description: Helps develop reading and writing proficiency in a rigorous, process-oriented approach. Introduces writing conventions of academic communities. Provides the opportunity to write response-oriented essays and refine the mechanics of their writing. Grade of ‘C’ or better satisfies the UC ELWR.
