Prerequisites: concurrent enrollment in WRIT 003L; WRIT 001 with a grade of S or better; special permission required to take WRIT 003 if students don?t receive an S in WRIT 001 after two attempts; or placement determined by the UCR Writing Placement Process (WPP)
Description: Course designed for multilingual, first-generation, or other students needing support in academic discourse fundamentals. Focuses on increasing communicative competence in composing a variety of texts with special attention to the writing process, academic grammar, critical reading, and verbal skills.
Credit: Graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC).
