Description: For CEE 235/MSE 239C online section; enrollment in the Online Master of Science in Engineering program; graduate standing. Explores the role of thermodynamics, charge transfer kinetics, and mass transfer on the behavior of electrochemical systems. Includes cell thermodynamics, Faradaic and non-Faradaic rate processes, ionic transport, nucleation, and growth theories. Covers applications to chemical sensors, batteries, corrosion, and thin film deposition.
