Description: The study of the structure and function of the genetic material, including DNA structure, DNA replication and recombination, regulation of gene expression, and protein synthesis. Examines both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems including contemporary recombinant DNA technology and applications of molecular cloning procedures.
