Description: A seminar on seventeenth- and eighteenth-cen- tury English history with primary emphasis on the his- torical literature within the field. Covers appropriate primary sources and secondary literature. Graded In Progress (IP) until HIST 256A and HIST 256B are completed, at which time a final grade is assigned. After completing both HIST 256A and HIST 256B, students may repeat the sequence once for credit; total credit for each course may not exceed 8 units.
