Prerequisites: graduate standing; HISE 151, HISE 152, or equivalents
Description: A seminar on seventeenth- and eighteenth-century English history with primary emphasis on the historical literature within the field. Covers appropriate primary sources and secondary literature. Graded In Progress (IP) until HIST 256A and HIST 256B are completed, at which time a final grade is assigned. After completing both HIST 256A and HIST 256B, students may repeat the sequence once for credit; total credit for each course may not exceed 8 units.
