Description: Examines the principles of biochemical engineering. Topics include kinetics of enzymatic reactions and microbial growth, batch and continuous culture reactors, product formulation, and nutrient utilization. Also studies oxygen transfer, biore- actor scale-up, air and media sterilization, fundamen- tals of bioreactor design, and bioseparations.
