Description: Examines the principles of biochemical engineering. Topics include kinetics of enzymatic reactions and microbial growth, batch and continuous culture reactors, product formulation, and nutrient utilization. Also studies oxygen transfer, bioreactor scale-up, air and media sterilization, fundamentals of bioreactor design, and bioseparations.
