Description: Surveys the central problems and issues in the anthropological study of tourism. 80 / Programs and Courses Main topics include the place of tourism in the global economy, the impact of tourism on cultural identity and culture change, environmental issues in tourism development, and tourism as a form of cross- and multicultural communication.
