GiveIO - Installation and Setup

For system requirements, further details, updates, or patches consult the appropriate webpage. This tool is required if you plan to run the FPP software (programmer software) on Windows 2000/XP. If you are using Winows 95/ME then it should not be required. The GiveIO tool enables the FPP software to access the I/O ports. Note, you will need administrative priviledges to install the program.

Installation/Configuration

  1. Unzip giveio.zip
  2. Start LOADDRV.exe by double-clicking on it, you should see the following:


  3. Enter the path where the giveio.sys file is located. Click on the "Install" button. Under the Status: heading it should indicate the operation was successful, as shown below:


  4. The giveio.sys path should still be in the pathname window. Click on the "Start" button. Under the Status: heading it should indicate the operation was successful.
  5. You should now be able to use the FPP software. Note: If you reboot the computer you may need to restart this driver.
