Overview

This is a seminar course focused on physics-based simulation techniques for computer graphics applications. We will study the physics and mathematical equations describing various natural phenomena, and data structures, algorithms and numerical methods for computational solutions to these physical systems. This will be done in the context of studying classic and state-of-the-art approaches in the literature.

Assignments and grading

Students will be responsible for reading the papers before they are presented in class, participating in class discussion, and presentating papers in class.

The 1 page summary should be typed up before class. In should consist of two parts: (1) 3 bullet points containing questions or comments for discussion during the class, and (2) a brief summary of the paper.
