Description: Honors course corresponding to PHYS 040A. Explores topics in classical mechanics with gravity including Newton’s laws of motion; gravity; friction; circular motion; work, energy, and conservation of energy; collisions; rigid-body motion; torque; and angular momentum. Provides laboratory exercises illustrating experimental foundations of physical principles and selected applications. For engineering and physical science majors.
