Description: A general research seminar in history including European, continental European, British, Russian, ancient, and Latin American history. Includes a major research paper based on extensive use of primary source material. Graded In Progress (IP) until HIST 251A and HIST 251B are completed, at which time a final grade is assigned. After completing both HIST 251A and HIST 251B, students may repeat the sequence once for credit; total credit for each course may not exceed 8 units.
