Description: An introduction to semiconductor optoelectronic devices for optoelectronic communications and signal processing. Topics include basic optical processes in semiconductors, semiconductor light-emitting diode, semiconductor heterojunction lasers, photodetectors, solar cells, optoelectronic modulation, and switching devices.

Credit: Credit is awarded for one of the following EE 137 or EE 285B.
