Description: Introduces the major camps in ethical theory: utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics, and feminist ethics. Applies these theories to critically examine contemporary issues in bioethics. Includes stem-cell research, assisted reproductive technologies, contract gestation, maternal-fetal conflicts, genetic and pharmacological enhancements, access to health care, and physician-assisted suicide.
