Description: Honors course corresponding to GSST 012. Focuses on the intersections between Islam and feminism. Topics include feminist interpretations of the Qur’an, Muslim women’s movements and activisms in Islamic and non-Islamic societies, and the complex interactions between the nation-state, religion, gender, and sexuality.
