Description: Examines the social, emotional, and intellectual aspects of human development from a cultural perspective. Covers theory, research, and methods of studying the cultural bases of psychological growth. Topics include socialization practices, parenting, social relations, language and cognition, schooling and academic achievement, acculturation, and ethnicity.
