Prerequisites: MUS 001; or a passing score on a diagnostic examination and consent of instructor
Description: Advanced study of musical notation, meter and rhythm. Includes major and minor scales, keys, tonal functions, compound meter, and mixed meter. Also provides training in sight singing, interval recognition, and chord quality identification for triads and seventh chords. To be taken during freshman year in preparation for the Music Major.
