Description: Provides historical and cultural context for selected dance forms and practices. Students study dance as an art form, cultural practice, and meaning-making activity, with particular attention to histories of race, gender, sexuality, class, and nation. Intended for non majors. Credit will be awarded for only one of DNCE 007 or DNCE 007W.
