Description: Examines reproductive policies, politics, and practices from a cross-cultural and historical perspective. Discusses political and economic processes and sociocultural dynamics; population control; sex preference; infanticide and neonatal neglect; adoption and foster parenting; abortion; technologically assisted conception; and gestational surrogacy. Cross-listed with ANTH 147. Fulfills the Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
