Prerequisites: CS 236 or consent of instructor
Description: Focuses on recent research and development issues in the database area. Includes object-oriented databases, heterogenous databases, parallel databases, benchmarks, transaction processing, query optimization, and performance evaluation. May be taken Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) with consent of instructor and graduate advisor. Course is repeatable to a maximum of 8 units.
