Prerequisites: CS 236 or consent of instructor
Description: Focuses on recent research and development issues in the database area. Includes object-oriented data- bases, heterogenous databases, parallel databases, benchmarks, transaction processing, query optimi- zation, and performance evaluation. May be taken Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) with consent of instructor and graduate advisor. Course is repeatable to a maximum of 8 units.
