Description: Discusses various methods used in the study of partial differential equations (PDEs). Addresses energy esti- mates, characteristics, similarity solutions, numerics, and fundamental solutions. Focuses on concrete examples of PDEs including conservation laws, the transport equation, the heat equation, the porous me- dia equation, the Navier-Stokes equation, the Laplace equation, and the wave equation.
