Description: Discusses various methods used in the study of partial differential equations (PDEs). Addresses energy estimates, characteristics, similarity solutions, numerics, and fundamental solutions. Focuses on concrete examples of PDEs including conservation laws, the transport equation, the heat equation, the porous media equation, the Navier-Stokes equation, the Laplace equation, and the wave equation.
