Description: Discusses Southeast Asian topics from regional, comparative, and local perspectives. May be taken as a one- or two-quarter course (HIST 243A/ SEAS 243A, HIST 243B/SEAS 243B). Graded In Pro- gress (IP) until the last quarter is completed, at which time a final grade is assigned. After completing both HIST 243A/SEAS 243A and HIST 243B/SEAS 243B, students may repeat the sequence once for credit; total credit for each course may not exceed 8 units.
