Description: Focuses on the Vietnamese American experience in contemporary society. Em- phasizes the relationship of Vietnamese Americans to the larger society and on intergenerational strains and conflicts. Topics include socioeconomic and educa- tional problems, family, religion, and the relationship between Vietnamese Americans and other ethnic groups. Cross-listed with SEAS 137. Fulfills either the Humanities or Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, but not both.
