Description: Focuses on the Vietnamese American experience in contemporary society. Emphasizes the relationship of Vietnamese Americans to the larger society and on intergenerational strains and conflicts. Topics include socioeconomic and educational problems, family, religion, and the relationship between Vietnamese Americans and other ethnic groups. Cross-listed with SEAS 137. Fulfills either the Humanities or Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, but not both.
