Description: Introduction to biological energy transduction. Describes the coupling of oxidative phosphorylation and photosynthesis to adenosine triphosphate (ATP) synthesis and the coupling of ATP hydrolysis to ion transport, chemotaxis, molecular mo- tors, biomimetics, and other biological processes on the basis of recent structural and mechanistic studies of the protein complexes involved.
