Prerequisites: graduate standing; consent of instructor
Description: Examines the interrelationships among law, race, gender, equal protection doctrine, and the state. Addresses contemporary theoretical challenges to concepts such as critical legal studies, critical race theory, “LatCrit,” and feminist jurisprudence. Students who submit a term paper receive a letter grade; other students receive a Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grade. Course is repeatable as content changes to a maximum of 12 units.
