Description: Analyzes Asian American autobiographies and films written and directed by women. Explores why the genre of autobiography is enabling and contentious within Asian American women’s writings. Examines films to see how such women filmmakers contend with memory, gender, and identity. Cross-listed with MCS 123 and SEAS 175. Fulfills the Humani ties requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
