Description: Analyzes Asian American autobiographies and films written and directed by women. Explores why the genre of autobiography is enabling and contentious within Asian American women’s writings. Examines films to see how such women filmmakers contend with memory, gender, and identity. Cross-listed with SEAS 175 and WMST 124. Fulfills the Hu manities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
