Description: An introduction to reading and language development. Addresses theoretical models of reading; linguistics and language development; methods and materials; children’s and adolescents’ literature; reading in the content areas; individual differences; and measurement and evaluation in reading. Includes observation and participation in assigned schools.
Credit: Credit is awarded for only one of EDUC 172 or EDUC 172S.
