Description: An introduction to engineering thermodynamics with emphasis on chemical and environmental engineering systems. Topics include concepts of equilibrium, temperature, and reversibility; the first law and concept of energy; and the second law and concept of entropy. Also examines equations of state, thermodynamic properties, and engineering applications used in the analysis and design of closed and open systems.
