Prerequisites: VNM 001 with a grade of “C-” or better or equivalent or a sufficiently high test score on the Vietnamese placement examination as determined by the department faculty
Description: An introduction to the sound system and grammar of Vietnamese. Focuses on the development of the four skills: comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing. Classes are conducted in Vietnamese as often as possible.
Credit: Credit is awarded for only one of the following sequences: VNM 001, VNM 002, and VNM 003; VNM 020A and VNM 020B.
