Description: Involves laboratory experiments in physiology and study of human anatomy and histology (normal and diseased). Covers experimentation, data collection, and analysis that incorporates hematology, blood proteins, urinalysis, neuromuscular control, cardiac excitation and pharmacology, blood pressure, electrocardiography, and electroencephalography. BIOL 161A, BIOL 161B, BIOL 171, and BIOL 171L provide a one-year sequence in vertebrate and human anatomy and physiology.
