Description: Introduces students to major themes in the history of U.S. women and gender issues. Drawing upon recent work in the field, it explores the relationships between gendered meanings of politics and the politics of gender in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries in the United States. Cross-listed with HISA 133. Fulfills the Humanities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
