Description: Introduces students to major themes in the history of U.S. women and gender issues. Drawing upon recent work in the field, it explores the relationships between gendered mean- ings of politics and the politics of gender in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries in the United States. Cross-listed with HISA 133. Fulfills the Humanities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
