Description: Examines gendered dimensions of con- temporary and historical genocides. Analyzes the ways gender ideologies intersect racialization and ethnic marking. Explores how gender shapes selection, forced labor, torture, and murder. Considers gender ideologies in relation to collective, institutional, and individual responses to genocide and genocidal cam- paigns. Fulfills the Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
