Description: Explores the use of sacred images in spiritual practice in diverse religious traditions. Examines various methods for the study of religious images, as well as the philosophical, theoreti- cal, and theological issues that arise. Includes issues related to representation, perception/vision, materiali- ty, the power of symbol, and related museographic and curatorial issues.
