Description: Explores the use of sacred images in spiritual practice in diverse religious traditions. Examines various methods for the study of religious images, as well as the philosophical, theoretical, and theological issues that arise. Includes issues related to representation, perception/vision, materiality, the power of symbol, and related museographic and curatorial issues.
