Description: An introduc- tion to classic works of German literature and their film adaptations. Explores adaptations by film direc- tors such as Welles, Kubrick, Visconti, and Fassbinder. Studies the nexus between literature, film, and theatre. Course conducted in English. Cross-listed with CPLT 126 and GER 126. Fulfills the Humanities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
