Description: A study of the fundamentals of computer design. Topics include the performance evaluation of microproces- sors, instruction set design and measurements of use, micro- processor implementation techniques including multicycle and pipelined implementations, computer arithmetic, memory hierarchy, and input/output (I/O) systems.
