Description: Computer applications for solving problems in physical sciences. Symbolic manipulation languages such as Mathematica. Mathematical operations, plot- ting, and symbolic and numerical techniques in calcu- lus. Numerical methods such as histogramming, Monte-Carlo method for modeling experiments, statis- tical analysis, curve fitting, and numerical algorithms. Prior knowledge of the computer is not required.
