Description: Computer applications for solving problems in physical sciences. Symbolic manipulation lan- guages such as Mathematica. Mathematical opera- tions, plotting, and symbolic and numerical tech- niques in calculus. Numerical methods such as his- togramming, Monte-Carlo method for modeling experi- ments, statistical analysis, curve fitting, and numerical algorithms. Prior knowledge of the computer is not required.
