Description: Covers topics in nonrenewable mineral and energy resources, such as petroleum resources; nuclear energy and waste disposal; toxic metals and groundwater contamination; and coal resources and global warming. Discusses geologic and environmen- tal aspects of these resource issues. Content may vary from year to year. Requires oral and written research reports. Course is repeatable to a maximum of 8 units.
