Prerequisites: GEO 100; consent of instructor
Description: Covers topics in nonrenewable mineral and energy resources, such as petroleum resources; nuclear energy and waste disposal; toxic metals and groundwater contamination; and coal resources and global warming. Discusses geologic and environmental aspects of these resource issues. Content may vary from year to year. Requires oral and written research reports. Course is repeatable to a maximum of 8 units.
