Prerequisites: admission to the University Honors Program or consent of instructor

Description: Honors course corresponding to GEO 009. A general introduction to the geological, physical, chemical, and biological processes related to the characteristics and evolution of the ocean system. Explores the role oceans play in regulating climate and the cycling of elements on the Earth’s surface. Illustrates how the ocean system has been, and continues to be, one of the most important influences on life.

Credit: Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grading is not available. Credit is awarded for only one of GEO 009 or GEO 009H.
