Description: Considers images of teaching produced in popular culture, professional writing, and personal recollections, and how the images impact and reflect teaching in schools. Addresses topics related to teaching mathematics and science in the K-12 classroom. Includes 3 hours per week of participation and observation in public school classrooms. Designed for lower-division students who plan to teach mathematics or science in the public schools.
Credit: Credit is awarded for only one of EDUC 001 or EDUC 003.
